Chief Financial Officer Multi Academy Trust

3 days per week (22.5 hours NJC terms and conditions), 52 weeks per year

Salary:  £54,250 - £58,389 pro rata.

The Athelstan Trust is a successful Multi-Academy Trust consisting of three secondary schools in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.

We are seeking to recruit a Chief Financial Officer with outstanding leadership and communication skills to play a key role, ensuring the Trust’s continued growth and success. The Chief Financial Officer will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and School Business Managers within our schools to help deliver the Trust’s strategic objectives.

This is a wide ranging senior post within the organisation reporting directly to the CEO. You will inform the Board of Directors of all matters relating to Trust Finance. You will bring with you a strong diplomatic approach to liaise effectively with individual school Head's and the CEO. You will also create and develop a central finance and operations department that can support the Trust’s aims.

The English Faculty is a dynamic and successful team with a history of very good exam results. Teacher of Design and Technology – Home Economics (Food) specialism (Maternity Cover)

Full Time

Malmesbury School requires a dynamic, enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of DT with Home Economics (Food) and Health and Social Care specialism. The ability to teach up to and including KS5 is an advantage. The school has superb accommodation and the Design and Technology Faculty is housed in a suite of specialist rooms, all with high quality equipment including a dedicated ICT room. The faculty has close links with the James Dyson Foundation which has been very generous in their support of the School in providing bursaries for some of our A- level Design and Technology students as well as a new laser cutter, 3D printer and Apple mac for students to use in their design work. The Design and Technology faculty has a history of excellent examination results and all subjects are very popular with students.

We have large numbers of students studying at least one science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology) at A level, with outstanding exam results.

Malmesbury School requires a dynamic, enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of Geography. The successful applicant will be required to teach Geography up to A level.  A second teaching subject at GCSE level would be advantageous. The Humanities Faculty consists of Geography, History, Religious Studies and Sociology and is highly successful both in terms of academic results and student participation.  Humanities subjects are taught as separate subjects in all years in mixed ability classes.  This is an excellent opportunity for professional development in a very supportive and caring school.  The school occupies a modern building and Humanities rooms are all grouped together around a faculty office with an interactive whiteboard and computer in every classroom. This post would be suitable for a highly competent NQT or a teacher with experience and a proven track record of success.
