In July Malmesbury School hosted its annual Year 8 Science Fair with best entries judged by the mayor, employees from Renishaw and REME, governors and senior leaders at the school. Students had to undertake a practical science investigation on a topic of their choice, sharing their hypothesis, approach to data collection and results analysis on an eye-catching display board. There was a fantastic array of investigations on show in the hall with themes ranging from the ‘stickiness’ of gecko feet to optical illusions to the forces behind skateboarding! All the students’ efforts were hugely impressive and we are immensely proud of how they demonstrated excellent team work and independent learning skills.
