Year 9 students will soon be asked to make decisions about the GCSE subjects they would like to study in years 10 and 11.  These are important decisions and will determine the curriculum that each individual will follow during their next two years in school.

To help parents and students understand more fully about the options available, we are holding a short open evening from 5.00pm to 7.15pm on Monday 13 January 2020.  At 5.00pm and 6.45pm there will be presentations in the Hall to explain the options system.  Between 5.00pm and 6.45pm, teachers from each option subject area will be available to explain the nature and requirements of their courses and to answer questions.  Parents choosing to attend the 5.00pm presentation will have until 6.45pm to visit subject areas and parents choosing to attend the 6.45pm presentation need to visit subject areas before the talk starts.  Our Careers Advisor will also be available during the evening for anyone wishing to discuss career options and subject choices.

We look forward to welcoming students and parents to Malmesbury School for the Y9 options information evening on Monday 13th January 2020.

A copy of the presentation and the booklet can be found in ‘Attachments’ at the bottom of the page.
