The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is committed to providing for young people an enjoyable, challenging and rewarding programme of personal development, which is of the highest quality and the widest reach.

At Malmesbury School there is a successful and established programme of students participating in the DofE Award at Bronze (Yr 9) and Silver (Yr 10) level.

There are four sections to complete at both Bronze and Silver level.  They involve helping the community/environment, becoming fitter, developing new skills, planning, training for and completing an expedition.

Any young person can do their DofE – regardless of ability, gender, background or location. Achieving an Award isn’t a competition or about being first. It’s all about setting personal challenges and pushing personal boundaries.

To find out more visit www.dofe.org or ask to speak to our DofE Lead Ms. Daniels.
