We would encourage any student with an excellent academic record to apply to Oxford or Cambridge. In the last two years, 5 of our students took up places to study at both universities, and had support throughout their time in sixth form from teachers and the sixth form team.
We have strong links with both Robinson College, Cambridge, who run annual workshops for students, and Merton College, Oxford, who facilitate day trips to the college for students to get a flavour of life at Oxford. On this trip students also get to discuss personal statements and explore the experiences of current undergraduates.
We also run an Oxbridge Group. This is open to all students in the sixth form who want to apply to top universities. In this group they will discuss their specific subject interests, grow their supra-curricular activities and receive support/guidance in relation to Oxbridge specific entry requirements. Students also receive mock interviews from experienced Oxbridge professors to prepare them for the rigours of the interview process.
